VIDEO: Enterprise Tips: Predictive Statements

Predictive statements allow you to create tailored databases within each smart text box in i-clarity.

Smart text boxes can be identified by the buttons at the top of the box which allow for additional features.

One of the primary features of any smart text is predictive statements. These are statements that will load at the bottom of the box to be selected when typing.

These predictive statements are tailored to the user in the box you are leaving them, meaning that users can have their own individual custom statements and that leaving a statement in one box means it won’t show up in a box where it isn’t relevant.

For example you may assign a specific predictive statement in the actions text box, this will then not appear in your appointment notes text box as it is not relevant.

To enter a predictive statement simply write out your predictive statement, highlight it, then write click the text. You will see the option to “add selected text to predictive statements”

Now when we being to write out that text in this box in future the statemntas appears at the bottom of the box to select.

You can then either select with your mouse or scroll through the possible statements with the arrows on your keyboard and select with the tab key.

Notable smart text boxes where predictive statements may come in useful are

  • The assigning an action text box
  • The notes text box
  • The text boxes within dispense
  • The outcome and dispense notes within clinical records.
  • The appointment notes
  • And the ad hoc SMS

One effective way predictive statements are being utilized in some practices is by assigning all SMS templates to predictive statements. This approach helps streamline your template list, allowing the "Send Document" options to display only letter and email templates, making it easier to manage if you have multiple SMS variations.

While predictive statements can be added on an individual basis they can also be entered for all users on mass within the maintenance module. Simply search for predictive statements in maintenance and here you can add predictive statements either individually for different smart text boxes throughout the system or globally for all users should their be something you want available to all users of your i-clarity system.

Predictive statements are an easy and efficient way of data entry making note taking
