VIDEO: Enterprise Tips: Sidebar

i-Clarity has a sidebar that can sit alongside your patient records and be tailored to display information that best suits the users needs.

To show this side bar click “user options” then “show side bar”

We can select whether we want the side bar to be on the left or the right with the docking button, this switches the side bar from one side to the other. Or should you want it somewhere else, you can unlink from the side of your i-clarity to move it somewhere else, for example on another screen.

This side bar can sit alongside your i-clarity and has several widgets that you can select to tailor it to provide what information you may want on hand whilst navigating through i-clarity.

The default display and most used widget is the upcoming appointments, this shows the days upcoming appointments. Throughout the day this will update to show the next appointment at the top. We will look at how you can fix this to show the full day, all day, in a moment.

From here you can click any of these appointment slots to bring up the patients record or right click them for an advanced list of further actions.

If you wish to see a specific users appointments you can do so via the drop down box at the top of the clinic list.

Clicking the chevrons in the top left show us the different ways in which we can customise this side bar with widgets

The top section are your buttons to show and hide the different widgets and also save the current selection as default.

Lets look at these different widgets now.

We can show or hide the current patient, so when looking at a patients record these details will still be visible if we are in another module

Next is the show or hide patient visit status, this gives a list of the different patients that have been in throughout the day and their visit statuses. This is particularly useful for larger practices to see how many patients are at what stage in their journey.

In this side bar you can also show a translation window allowing you to translate to a language of you’re choosing, you also have the ability to read this translated text to the patient as part one of the features of this being a smart text box.

Once you’ve decided upon your widgets you can press the Select the “Personal side bar options – save defaults” to save your selection.

Lets look at some of the more precise adjustments you can make to your sidebar.

Going in to user options, personal display options again we can now click sidebar to see the further adjustments we can make.

For example when showing patient details and upcoming appointments we can select whether we want these to show when on the home screen or patient screen and also when not on either of these screens.

If you want it showing all the time you would select both, or at specific times select one of the other.

Upcoming appointments you can show how many appointments you want showing at any one time or you can show the full day meaning you can go back and view patients that were in earlier in the day by selecting “full day”, this tends to be most peoples preference.

Finally within the patients visit status widget you can select which statuses you want to be visible.

Remember this side bar is optional so you always have the option not to show it should it not meet your needs.
