VIDEO: Enterprise Tips: Voice to Text & Translation

i-Clarity features the ability to use voice to text in any smart text box.

Smart text box can be identified by the icons at the top of the text box that allow additional features. One of these features is Voice to text.

Simply click the microphone icon and then begin speaking.

Once you have begun speaking your computers microphone detects what your saying and once you stop speaking it’ll be translated to text in the text box.

This a handy way of entering notes that are more conversational or descriptive.

You can combine this with another of the smart boxes features which is translation and text to voice to allow for much better communication for non-native English speakers. All smart boxes can be translated to whichever language of your choosing using this icon, right click this icon to select which language you wish to translate to, this the opens a dialogue box translating your smart box text into the language of your choosing. You also have the ability to read the text back in any language, simply right click the person speaking icon and select your language of choice. This now reads the written text back in the language of your choice.

“Translated text plays” (advised patient not to drive to next appointment)

You also have the translation window should you wish to translate what your patient is saying to you. It translates based on the patients primary language which you can select here….

Then you can click our microphone button in the smart text box at the top and have our patient speak, “Hallo ich heiss Harry, ich wohne in Manchester, das ist en England” the below box then translates this text to English.

You can then type your response into the bottom box and press the text to voice button to speak back to them in their own language. “Translated text plays” (Hi Harry please can I have your postcode)

You can even send your SMS messages translated to the patients primary language or both when sending communications.

These features allow your practice to be accessible to a much wider patient base.
