In i-Clarity, there are two primary methods to move an appointment, depending on the time gap between the original and new appointment. Selecting the appropriate method ensures an efficient process.

Method 1: Short Time Gap

Use this method when the new appointment is scheduled within a short period from the original time.

Use cases:

  • The patient reschedules for later the same day.
  • The patient's appointment is moved to another clinic on the same day.
  • The patient's appointment is relocated to another clinic that is also visible on the appointment diary for,

Method 2: Long Time Gap

This method is suitable when there is a significant time gap between the current and new appointment times.

Use cases:

  • The appointment is moved to a clinic not currently visible on the screen, requiring the use of diary scroll arrows.
  • The patient wants to reschedule, and you need to provide alternative times by scrolling through the diary.

Method 1

Single click and hold down on the patient’s appointment that needs moving.

Drag the appointment to the new appointment slot. Dragging the appointment will cause a yellow moving box to appear.

When the appointment slot you want to move the appointment to is highlighted grey, release the mouse.

The appointment will drop into the new appointment slot and the appointment booking form will open.

Confirm the new appointment details and choose your appointment save option.

Method 2:

Right click on the patient’s appointment that needs moving.

From the right click menu, select ‘Move Appointment’

This will cause the patient appointment to be located to a holding position in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Then single click on the new appointment slot.

This will drop the patient’s appointment into the new slot and open the appointment booking form.

Confirm the new appointment details and choose your appointment save option.
