Refunds: Create Refund and Refund Partial Sale

Refund a Sale in Full.

  1. This method of creating a refund is used if a patient returns a product and is owed a full refund.
  2. Tick the box next to the sale that needs refunding.
  3. Click on Refund Selected Sale
  4. This will open a confirmation window, which also give you the option of returning the product(s) to stock. Click Yes to proceed
  5. A refund for the selected sale will be entered onto the system and the Enter Payments screen will be displayed.
  6. On the Enter payments screen, select the method which is being used to return the payment to the patient.
  7. The amount to be refunded will be shown as a minus figure. Click the Confirm Amount button.
  8. Once the payment information is visable in the bottom box, click Confirm Total.
  9. Enter a reason for the refund. Click OK.
  10. Details of the refund now appear in the sales transaction summary on the left hand side. 

Refund Part of a Sale

  1. This method is used if a patient is owed a refund for part of a sale
  2. Click the Create Refund button.
  3. This will open the Create Refund screen. It is similar to the Create Sale screen which you'll be used to seeing, but all items are automatically proceeded with a minus.
  4. Using the same method as when creating a sale, select the product(s) that need to be refunded.
  5. The selected product will appear on the right hand side of the screen
  6. You can amend the price using the number buttons.
  7. Click Add to Refund. This will add the product line to the refund. You can add more than one product to the refund if necessary.
  8. Once completed, click the Confirm Refund button.
  9. The Enter Payments screen will be displayed.
  10. On the Enter payments screen, select the method which is being used to return the payment to the patient.
  11. The amount to be refunded will be shown as a minus figure. Click the Confirm Amount button.
  12. Once the payment information is visable in the bottom box, click Confirm Total.
  13. Enter a reason for the refund. Click OK.
  14. Details of the refund now appear in the sales transaction summary on the left hand side.
