If your label printer has stopped working, you may be able to fix the issue by using some of the tips below.

  1. Check that the printer is still showing as a printer in the windows settings (Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners). If it isn't then you may need to reinstall the printer. You can find the correct driver for your model number here:  ZD410 ZD410 Desktop Printer Support & Downloads | Zebra
    1. If you are installing/reinstalling a driver, it is recommended that you unplug the printers USB cable from the computer and switch off the printer before starting the install. You will be asked to reconnect it during the install.
  2. Check that there's nothing stuck in the queue that could be preventing new labels from printing.
    1. In windows, navigate to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners > ZD410 > Open Queue.
    2. To clear the queue, select Printer > Cancel all documents
  3. Check that you can print a test-page from the printer in your windows settings (Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners > ZD410 > Manage > Print a test page)
  4. Check that the printer device is registered in i-Clarity. (you will need full maintenance access for this)
    1. Navigate to Maintenance > Devices.
    2. Look for your label printer in the grid. It should look something like this:
    3. If it is listed, check that the computer name matches your computer name. (You can check the name of your computer in Settings > System > About
    4. If the barcode printer isn't listed then you can add it at the bottom of the screen.
    5. Navigate to the Computers tab of maintenance.
    6. Locate your computer name in the grid, scroll across to the far right, and select the label printer from the dropdown list of the USB Label Printer column.
    7. Click away from the row to save your changes. Then exit Maintenance and perform a test print.
