The top bar within the clinical module bears some resemblence to, but offers additional features to, the bar that is found throughout the main body of the software. Those features are explained below:
The Patient Menu
The patient menu on the clinical record has a header text of the Patient Name, ID, DOB, Age, Last updated date and by who.
From the patient menu you can open the following forms:
The first section of the menu contains features to do with the patient details.
- View/Edit Patient will open the front screen of the patient record in a sperate form e.g. Name, DOB, address, and Doctors name. You will also be able to make any necessary amendments to the form.
- Recall Communications will open a form showing all the patient communications. It will allow you to add any additional misc recalls you may need the patient to receive.
- Activities will allow you to view and add patient activity notes and action.
- Add note will allow you to add a patient activity without opening the whole activity form.
- Add Action, this will allow you to add a patient action.
- Patient Facts, will allow you to view, edit and add patient facts.
The second section of the patient menu is where you will generate documents, like prescriptions and referral letters. You will also be able to send ad hoc emails and sms messages, store any documents to the patient record that are saved on your computer, view previously saved or created documents, scan documents or print a patient slip (this prints off the practice receipt printer)
Document Count
This will show the number of documents saved to the patient record. Hovering over this will show you the date when the last document was added and clicking on the text will open the patient document folder.
Old Record Warning
If you are looking at a previous or old clinical record, then there will be a warning on the top bar.
Appointment Diary
The Diary icon will allow you to open the diary without closing your clinical record. The patient you have active will be active on the diary so you can book them an appointment. If you did need to book an appointment for another patient then you can use the patient search in the bottom left of the diary.
Screen View Menu
The top section of the screen view menu shows the open records, you can use this to select the record you would like to view.
If your screen size permits you can use the screen view menu on the top bar to control how the clinical windows are organised.
- Tile Windows Vertical - This will tile one record next to each, with one record on the left hand side of your screen and one record on the right hand side of your screen.
- Tile Windows Horizontal - This will tile one record above the other, so that you have one record across the top section of your screen and another record across the bottom section of your screen.
Previous Exams Menu
The Previous Exams Menu will allow you to flick back through previous exams so that they display on your clinical record.
If you have two clinical records open, one showing your current exam and the other showing the previous exam we would recommend this is done on the form showing the details of the previous exam.
